Glory to God! The Rainbow dream expands to Taiwan on 15 January 2011
Thanks to all your prayers and support, our friends in Taiwan have joined us to make dreams possible for the underprivileged and disabled in China. Our Taiwan chapter is led by Pastor David Lin 林德昌 as the chapter leader and supported by staff, Amanda Ho.
Introduction of Rainbow Missions Arts Society in Taiwan
Through a divine appointment arranged by the wife of famous HongKong actor Qiao
Hong, Mrs. Qiao, Pastor Lin met with Bosco, Vice Chair of Rainbow Missions. He was
moved by the vision and mission of Rainbow Missions. In August of 2010, Rainbow Missions Arts Society was registered in Taiwan. Rainbow Arts Society brings together outstanding visually impaired musicians and dancers from Taiwan and China. Through their authentic performance, the hope is to use music to convey to friends regardless of nationality, able or disabled, the possibility of living your rainbow dream.
Work in Taiwan and China
The ministry in Taiwan and China include: training the visually impaired workers in Taiwan for service in China, conduct music talents training for blind musicians, form blind choir and band for worship and music exchange fellowship.
Profile of Pastor Lin
Pastor David Lin 林德昌 is born in Taiwan and lost his sight at a young age. In 1985, Pastor Lin led the visual impaired unit of Eden Social Welfare Foundation, a non-profit organization in Taiwan that serves to empower people with disabilities by providing comprehensive human care services in employment, vocation training and rehabilitation training. In 2010, he was called to use his gift in singing through a quartet, 喜樂合唱團，Quartet of Joy。 In 1993-2010, the group traveled across the globe, held over 2,000 concerts and released several native Taiwanese albums. Other accolades achieved by Pastor Lin include receiving the Outstanding Youth Award (1992), Top 10 Outstanding people with disabilities and holding his solo music concert in Taiwan.
