Rainbow Missions, the organization
By Bosco Chan - Cofounder of Rainbow Missions
In 2004, Peter and myself went to China for the visionary trip. In the following year, we sent a team of six on a 10-day service trip to serve in China. The short term service team has grown more than triple to a total of 20 in 2006, which is truly beyond our imagination.
Rainbow Missions started in September 2004 with a core group of nine Christians. With the help from a volunteer certified accountant, Rainbow Missions successfully registered in the US as a non-profit organization with 501(C)(3) status. This status frees the organization from the tax burden, while our donors can take advantage of the tax credits for their donations.
While the organization continues to grow rapidly, more resources and supports are needed. Besides volunteer and professional resources, prayer support and financial demand are huge. A lot of development work is needed to help more people in China that are less fortunate. If you feel strongly about the vision and the work of Rainbow Missions, we invite you to pray for Rainbow Missions and consider donating to Rainbow Missions in any way you prefer. For more information on how to support Rainbow Missions, please contact us by mail, email, fax or phone. Thank you and God bless.
p.s. If your US employer provides gift matching program, Rainbow Missions is eligible to participate in the program. Please contact our administrator for more information. Thank you.
