Rainbow´s Ministries: Rainbow Youth Ministry (RYM)
Jesus said, "Let the little children
come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs
to such as these." Matthew 19:14
As I (Peter Wong) was getting ready to leave the baby room of
the orphanage I was visiting in China, a baby girl reached up
her two little hands wanting to be held. Sadly, I had to go. I
thought about my son when he was a baby, and how all babies need
to be held, loved, and nurtured.
Rainbow Youth Ministry serves the under privileged children and
youth in China.
Are you a Christian and do you have a heart for the under privileged
children and youth in China? Together we can provide the finances
and inspiration to give hope to China´s future - the children.
If you would care to partner with us, please contact us for more
information.
Current ongoing work under Rainbow Youth Minsitry:
Sponsorship Program
"Thank you for coming so far to love us."
"Your sponsorship makes it possible for me to go to school. Thank
you!"
"I used to think that no body cares about me. Now I know you care
about me."
These are the words of some of the students Rainbow Missions
sponsors. Currently Rainbow Missions financially supports 41 needy,
visually impaired students in China so they can continue their
education. The money helps to pay for their tuition, room and
board, and some personal effects. Those who donate to this program
are also encouraged to write to the students every other month.
Short Term Children Program
Every year, Rainbow Missions form teams of volunteers who will
travel to China to spend time with under privileged children and
youth. The team plays with them, draws with them, sings with them,
reads stories with them and more. Nothing is as effective as personal
contact. They need to know there is someone who cares for them,
regardless of their difficult predicament. So far, we have been
to Chongqing School for the Blind and Chongqing Normal University
Children Development Center, and we expect to go to more sites
in the near future.
Teaching English
The world is getting smaller. To prepare the under privileged
children and youth in China for the new international generation,
we want to contribute by helping them with their English skills.
During our short term children programs, we provide English lessons.
In the near future, we want to provide English lessons via the
internet year-round.
